Cultural and historical sites

With almost 900 years of existence, Portugal was a monarchy until 1910. Thus, all successive kings contributed to the development of the country and the conquest of the world. There are 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the mainland and islands of Madeira and the Azores. In all its circuits, MY GREEN BREAK offers you to visit at least one of these sites that will go beyond your expectations.

Gastronomy

A trip to Portugal is definitely a gastronomic highlight! Having an Atlantic coastline of more than 800km, fish is a staple dish in Portuguese cuisine, cod (“bacalhau” in Portuguese) having 365 different ways of being cooked (1 for each day). But further inland meat is also important, with the example of Cachana in the north (cow) and the leitão (suckling pig) or the chanfana (goat meat in sauce) in the centre of Portugal. Sweets also have their place of honour with the famous Pastel de Nata, a sweet pastry cream nestled in puff pastry.

Nature

Portugal is an ideal country for nature lovers. Taking advantage of a low population density outside of Lisbon and Porto, you will find stunning places on the circuits built by MY GREEN BREAK. Between the cliffs and beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, the hills of the Centre and the Algarve, or the mountains of Gerês or the Serra de Estrela, you can breathe pure air and you will live your green break.

Oenology

With 14 wine regions spread over the whole country (including Madeira and Azores islands), you will inevitably want to savour a glass of wine in an amazing setting. The international reputation of the Douro wine (the first classic wine region to be legally delimited in 1756) is the best example, but you will be surprised by the quality and subtleties of the various wines of this country.

Sport

The ocean, the lakes, the rivers, the hills and the mountains, the playground is huge in Portugal for athletes who wish to engage in their favorite activity. Specialized in hiking, cycling, trail-running and water activities, MY GREEN BREAK will find you the activity that you like and can integrate it into your circuit for a moment of ADVENTURE and FUN!
