Its gastronomy is recognized internationally, both for the patisseries (Pastel de Nata), the numerous fish recipes (including cod called “Bacalhau”) and the vineyards (the wine of the Douro valley is of excellent quality). Finally, don’t forget to pace up and down Lisbon and Porto with its cobblestoned streets – very different but charming and true open-air museums.
