This tour includes the most beautiful places between Lisbon and Porto, not to mention visiting the Portuguese capital. There is little distance between these 2 cities but each stage of this tour will take you out of yourself, beyond time, to discover gorgeous landscapes, cultural heritage and to taste the local gastronomy.
DAY 1 : Arrival
Settle into your accommodation whether overlooking the ocean or the Tagus river.
Enjoy the beautiful sunset above the waters.
DAY 2 : Lisbon
Discover the beauty of the Portuguese capital, its sweet life along the Tagus river, its steep narrow streets and original tram routes. You will quickly soak up the Portuguese culture in this roller coaster setting!
DAY 3 : Sintra
Your arrival in Sintra will begin at Pena Palace, which shines brightly atop the Sintra mountain range. It dominates all the other palaces with its incredible architecture and sumptuous forest setting … This day is truly captivating!
DAY 4 : Mafra & obidos
Immerse yourself in 2 different epochs:
– Obidos, a walled medieval town, where you can walk through its narrow streets and up along the fortifications
– Mafra, with its Baroque palace, a UNESCO World heritage site, and its phenomenal library, one of the largest in the world, is just stunning!
DAY 5 : Monuments of the center
Another day rich in culture with the magnificent monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalha, the religious sanctuary of Fatima and the coastal town of Nazaré, a surfer’s paradise.
DAY 6 : Tomar & Coimbra
Take a break in Tomar, enjoy its calm serenity and visit the mysterious castle of the Knights’ Templar, the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO site. Then check out Coimbra, dominated by its old royal palace transformed into a world-renowned university and go back to your student days!
DAY 7 : Douro valley
A day to explore the uniqueness of the Douro valley on a trip along the river Douro. Relax into the boat trip, sample wine from the vineyards and enjoy a glass of Port. This is a special trip, lulled by the river Douro with its hills and vineyards.
DAY 8 : go to Porto
